When Joan first became housed, she was worried that she wouldn't be able to sleep in a bed after being used to the streets for years. She has dreams about using hard drugs and alcohol, where the needle that she is trying to stick in her arm will not pierce her skin, or that she wants to drink but finds nothing but empty bottles. Adjusting to daily tasks and every day life is Joan's biggest hurdle to avoiding relapse.
