After beginning to dabble in video and multimedia at the Arizona Daily Star, James Gregg moved to the San Diego Union-Tribune to join the photography staff contributing to with still photography and video based multimedia. In 2011 James received his third regional Emmy award, the first for the paper. 2012 brought two more Emmys as well as recognition from Pictures of the Year International and NPPA's Best of Photojournalism competitions for multimedia.
